Anthropology is a science that studies the physical, social and cultural aspects of humankind. This introductory course addresses the major currents of anthropology, its objects of study and its methods, as well as many essential concepts, such as ethnocentrism, pluralism and cultural relativism. It also allows the learner to grasp the contributions that this science makes to our understanding of human cultures by exploring various themes related to contemporary anthropology and international development.
